The THOR Shadow SH20 is a dual-ear headset microphone built for environments where audio quality and low visual profile both matter. Whether you are a worship leader stepping onto a stage on Sunday morning, a corporate presenter walking a conference room floor, or a performer under bright theatrical lights, this mic is designed to stay out of the way while doing its job well.
The capsule is tiny - just 3mm in diameter - and the boom arm is a thin 0.7mm. Combined with the black color option, this mic sits close to the face without drawing the eye. The headband rests behind the neck rather than over the top of the head, which keeps the profile low and works well under hats, headpieces, or styled hair.
One of the more practical features on the SH20 is the ReEx boom - short for Retractable and Extendable. You can slide the rear housing to shorten or lengthen the boom between 95mm and 117mm, dialing in the capsule position without tools or guesswork. The headset is also fully reversible, so it can be worn with the boom on the left or right side depending on the wearer's preference or the stage setup.
The microphone uses an omnidirectional polar pattern, which means it picks up sound evenly from all directions around the capsule. This is well-suited for speaking and presenting environments where consistent level is more important than isolating a single direction. The frequency response runs from 40Hz to 20kHz with a sensitivity of -45 dB at 1kHz, and it can handle up to 130.5 dB SPL before distortion becomes an issue - plenty of headroom for most live and broadcast applications.
THOR also offers this microphone with TA4F, 3.5mm and MicroDot with various adapters for other wireless systems. The package includes a protective zipper case, a windscreen, and a cable clip for clean cable routing.

Compatibility Guidance
The most frequently sold version of the SH20 ships with a TA4F connector for Shure wireless, also commonly called a mini XLR 4-pin or TA4 connector. This connector type is used on wireless bodypack transmitters from several major manufacturers, but connector pinout and wiring can vary between brands. Before ordering, confirm that your specific wireless transmitter accepts a TA4F input and that the wiring configuration matches THOR's cable.
If your wireless system uses a different input - such as a 3.5mm locking connector , a LEMO connector (used by some Shure and Lectrosonics transmitters), or a cH connector - THOR offers the SH20 with a MicroDot cable paired with the appropriate adapter, or as a direct-connect 3.5mm cable version. Choosing the right connector upfront will save time and avoid the need for third-party adapters in the field.
The SH20 is designed for indoor use only. It is not rated for outdoor or wet environments, and exposure to excessive moisture should be avoided. If your application involves heavy physical activity or high-perspiration environments, be sure to follow THOR's care guidelines for cleaning and storage.
