Description

The ClearSonic MP MegaPac is one of the most complete drum isolation solutions available, built for teams that need serious volume control without banishing the drummer to another room. Measuring 7 feet wide, 8 feet deep, and 7 feet tall, this booth surrounds a full-size drum kit with 360 degrees of acrylic drum shield and adds a heavy dose of Sorber sound absorption to tame reflections and reduce overall volume. The result is up to a 60 to 70 percent reduction in drum sound reaching the room, which is a meaningful difference in a worship space, theater, or studio.

This package is designed for situations where maximum isolation matters. It uses an A2466x7 CSP acrylic system in front and an A2466x5 CSP in the rear, joined together on one side using included HCNL H-channel and BASE channel. The opposite side is intentionally left unattached so one of the end panels can swing open and serve as a booth access door. That means your drummer can get in and out easily without disassembling anything.

Headroom is often the first complaint drummers have about smaller shields, and the MP addresses that directly. Eighteen inch acrylic Height Extenders raise the walls to give a comfortable 7 feet of clearance inside, so tall cymbal stands and raised toms are not a problem. On top, the SL7266 LidPac measures 72 inches wide by 66 inches deep and caps the enclosure to trap sound that would otherwise escape upward. A 6 inch clip-on fan is included to keep air moving and the drummer comfortable during longer sessions.

For churches, schools, theaters, houses of worship, and live production teams fighting drum bleed into vocal and instrument mics, the MP MegaPac gives your engineer real control over the mix. Cable cutouts make it simple to route mic and monitor cables in and out, and the whole system is modular, so you can expand it later if your needs grow. It is a significant investment, but for the drummer who plays loud and the mix that needs to stay clean, it is one of the most effective tools available.

Compatibility Guidance

The MP MegaPac is a self-contained isolation system, so compatibility is less about connectors and more about physical space and fit. Before ordering, confirm you have enough floor area for the 7 by 8 foot footprint plus a little room to enter and exit through the swing panel, and that your ceiling clears 7 feet with the lid in place.

This booth works well with any standard drum kit that fits within the interior space, including larger kits with multiple toms and cymbals. Because ClearSonic products are modular, panels and accessories from the ClearSonic line can often be added or adapted if your setup changes over time. The included fan uses a standard clip mount and typical household power.

Setup Tips

  • Measure your space first: Confirm both the floor footprint and full ceiling height before assembly. The lid and height extenders add to the total, so make sure you have real clearance.
  • Plan the access door side: Position the unattached panel toward the drummer's natural entry point so getting in and out is easy without disturbing the mix.
  • Route cables through the cutouts early: Run your mic, monitor, and power cables during setup rather than after the kit is inside. It saves a lot of frustration later.
  • Use the fan for longer sessions: The interior can warm up quickly with the lid on, so clip on the included fan for player comfort during rehearsals and long services.
  • Balance isolation with the drummer's monitoring: Because the booth blocks a lot of sound, make sure the drummer has good in-ear or monitor coverage so they can still hear the rest of the band clearly.
