The Audix D6 is a dynamic instrument microphone designed for stage, studio, and broadcast use. Featuring a cardioid pickup pattern for excellent isolation and feedback rejection, the D6 is built with a VLM™ (Very Low Mass) diaphragm to deliver natural, accurate sound.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to position, the D6 offers a wide frequency response of 30 Hz to 15 kHz and can handle sound pressure levels over 144 dB. It’s an ideal choice for capturing instruments with deep low-end content such as kick drums, large toms, and bass cabinets.
Built to withstand the rigors of professional use, the D6 features a precision-machined aluminum body, black anodized finish, steel mesh grille, and a laser-etched model and serial number. It includes a Switchcraft® XLR connector and a heavy-duty, tension-fit nylon mic clip.
A transformerless design, low impedance, and balanced output ensure clean, interference, free performance, even over long cable runs.
