Description
The Audio-Technica ATV-SG1 is a USB rechargeable, on-camera shotgun microphone that captures natural, high-fidelity audio in a feature-rich, easy-to-use device. This compact mic is designed for use with DSLR, mirrorless SLR, and other cameras used by professional videographers and content creators.
The ATV-SG1 also offers a number of professional features to give you greater control over the audio. These include a low-cut filter switch to attenuate noise from wind, traffic, HVAC systems, and other low-frequency sources, plus a convenient gain knob on the rear of the unit for step-less, on-the-fly gain adjustment. For added peace of mind, the safety track feature records your main audio level to the left channel and a backup track at -6 dB to the right channel. This helps ensure you still get a clean, usable recording even if unexpected volume spikes occur during your shoot. With its external input jack and accessory shoe, the ATV-SG1 enables you to mount a wireless lavalier mic receiver or a plug-in-powered wired lavalier mic so you can record simultaneously with the shotgun and lav mics. In addition, there’s a headphone jack with volume adjustment knob to let you monitor the audio in real time.
