Description

The ClearSonic IPT IsoPac T is a table-top vocal isolation booth designed to give voice talent a quieter, more controlled recording space without building a full walk-in booth. It pairs ClearSonic's clear acrylic panel system (CSP) with dense SORBER acoustic material, so you get real sound absorption around the microphone while still being able to see your notes, screen, or engineer.

The package uses a three-section CSP shell lined with 22-inch high SORBER, topped with a SORBER lid. The taller center panel measures 24 inches wide by 36 inches high, and the two side panels are each 18 inches wide by 34 inches high. An S2233 SORBER baffle rests on the side panels and butts up against the front panel to act as a lid, closing off the top of the booth where much of the reflected sound would otherwise escape. Cable cut-outs between the panels make it easy to route a microphone cable and position your mic exactly where you want it.

This booth is popular with podcasters, voiceover artists, and translation teams who need clean spoken-word audio in rooms that were never built for recording. Because it sits on a desk or table, it works well in offices, spare rooms, broadcast corners, and other tight spaces. The overall footprint is 24 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 36 inches high.

One of the strengths of the ClearSonic system is that it can be expanded or customized. If you find you need more coverage or a taller enclosure later, additional panels and SORBER can be added. GearTechs can help you plan the right configuration for your room and your voice work before you buy.

Compatibility Guidance

The IsoPac T is a passive acoustic enclosure, so it does not connect electrically to your gear. It works with virtually any microphone, boom arm, or desktop mic stand that fits within the interior footprint. Condenser mics used for voiceover and podcasting are a natural fit inside the booth.

Keep in mind that this is a table-top unit and needs a stable desk or table to sit on. Larger mic setups, shock mounts, or pop filters will use up some of the interior space, so plan your mic position with the cable cut-outs in mind. Because ClearSonic products are modular, this package can also be combined with other ClearSonic panels and SORBER if you want to grow your setup.

Setup Tips

  • Give it a solid base: Place the booth on a sturdy, level table. The acrylic panels are self-supporting but perform best on a stable surface that will not wobble while you record.
  • Position the mic slightly off-center: Aim your microphone toward the SORBER-lined panels rather than straight out the open front. This helps the acoustic material catch reflections before they reach the capsule.
  • Use the cable cut-outs: Route your mic cable through the gaps between panels so the SORBER lid can seat properly and close off the top of the booth.
  • Manage room sound too: The booth reduces nearby reflections, but a very live room can still color your recordings. Soft furnishings or rugs nearby will improve results further.
  • Plan for growth: If you may need more coverage later, keep in mind ClearSonic panels are modular and can be expanded. Ask us before buying if you expect your needs to change.

If you need help setting up or troubleshooting your system, GearTechs can help. Our team has real-world experience supporting churches, schools, businesses, and production environments.
