The Audix D2 is a dynamic instrument microphone designed for stage, studio, and broadcast use. Featuring a hypercardioid pickup pattern, it ensures excellent isolation and feedback control, while its VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm delivers natural, precise sound reproduction.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to position, the D2 offers a wide frequency range of 80 Hz to 18 kHz and can handle sound pressure levels exceeding 144 dB. It's an ideal choice for miking percussive instruments like rack toms, congas, saxophones, guitar cabinets, and brass instruments.
Built to withstand the rigors of the road, the D2 features a precision-machined aluminum body with a black anodized finish, laser-etched model and serial numbers, a steel mesh grill, and a durable Switchcraft XLR connector. A tension-fit, heavy-duty nylon mic clip is also included.
With its transformerless design, low impedance, and balanced output, the D2 ensures interference-free performance, even with long cable runs.
